It’s music festivals season. This year starts with We Love Green at Bois de Vincennes. My friends and I choose to go there on sunday, mainly to check on Bon Iver.
The place is welcoming but a bit more of shadow would not hurt. Multiple stages are set around the central field. There are stands for food, drinks, water fountains. Looks good to me.
On the sound front, it’s rather good and varied. The good surprise comes from Gabriels featuring a really skilled singer. I also remember Jack Johnson and Pomme who I am hearing for the first time. There is also Lomepal, who sounds better live than in studio !
The show from Bon Iver meets the expectations, even if the electro vibe of their latest songs causes division. Live versions of Perth, Hey Ma and Holocene are excellent.
